In charge of four main tasks.

To improve public health by generating and delivering scientific evidence on priority health problems, formulating of product package and technology transfer; effective public health emergency and risk management system, build sustainable, resilient and quality laboratory services, improve innovative digital health data systems, and enhance institutional capacity development and governance.
Vision: To be one of the best public health institute in Africa by 2035.
