1. Research and Learning Technical Manager

Location: Addis Ababa

Skill and educational background

Master’s degree or higher in research methods, social sciences, economics, mathematics, statistical methods, econometrics, public policy, public health, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in conducting and managing research and learning activities, preferably in WASH related projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Proficient in participatory qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, data analysis tools, and statistical software such as CAPI, mobile-based data collection tools, and statistical software such as Epi Info, SPSS, STATA, R, etc. Moreover, experience in planning and managing surveys, developing and refining data collection tools and ensuring data quality required.
Proven experience in providing technical guidance for data collection and management, including knowledge of best practices in survey implementation required.
Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate regular, strategic planning sessions and learning events, assisting the program to establish and manage dynamic feedback systems and capture experiential learning is highly desirable.
Demonstrated working experience in Ethiopia, preferably in Amhara Region, on water-related research activities is highly desirable.
Fluency in English and Amharic required. Proficiency in another local language is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly and compellingly required.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders required.

2. Project officer

Location: Bahir Dar

Skill and educational background

BSc or master’s in business administration, communications, public policy, public administration, finance, engineering, public health or related field with WASH-related.
At least five years of professional experience in project management, focusing on infrastructure development or water sector governance activities, required.
Proven track record of establishing and nurturing strong relationships with project stakeholders, managing project engagement, and reporting activities, and coordinating across several field activities, preferred.
Proven experience supporting the operational success of inception or research pilots, preferably in water supply or infrastructure development, is preferred.
Excellent project management skills are highly desirable, including planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and troubleshooting complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in donor relationship management and reporting, including effectively communicating project progress and results to diverse audiences, preferred.
Demonstrated working experience in the Amhara Region, preferably in leading WASH program implementation or research activities, is highly desirable.
Strong familiarity with the Ethiopian context, rural water supply challenges, and the water sector landscape, particularly in the Amhara Region, would be an advantage.
Fluency in English and Amharic required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Creating and maintaining a conducive and participatory environment for the group process, using appropriate methods and tools to engage the participants, encourage dialogue, and foster collaboration.

3. Project Coordinator

Skill and educational background

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, social, natural sciences, or related field.
At least 7 years of experience in WASH related programming, preferably WASH related research and assessments management.
Familiarity with the issues of water and sanitation systems in municipal water and sanitation facilities.
Demonstrated working experience in the Amhara region is highly desirable, preferably in leading WASH program implementation or research activities.
Demonstrating expertise in government and community engagement activities is highly desirable, preferably with WASH programs. Commitment to local capacity building and the ability to engage local stakeholders in project design and implementation.
Fluency in English and Amharic is required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.

4. Program Specialist ER-CAP

Location: Abala

Skill and educational background

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in the areas: Economics, Agriculture (i.e. Plant/Animal Science), Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Agribusiness, Marketing and other related subjects;
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in private sector or working with other agencies in market systems facilitation, livelihood programs, rural development, agribusiness or financial services
Good understanding of Markets Systems Development (aka Making Markets Work for the poor-M4P) approach and facilitation including coaching, relationship building, communicating, open and willing to work on new initiatives.
Familiar with all aspects of the relevant market systems including key actors, information service providers, employers of different scale, micro-finance institutions (MFIs), banks, Insurance’s providers, inputs suppliers, producers, traders, intermediary and terminal markets governance frameworks (formal and informal); and all support markets and functions and experiences in supporting livestock/crop production.
Excellent communication, organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task and support and/or fill multiple positions at one time.
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work both independently and cooperatively with team members.

Location:Mekelle

Skill and educational background

BA degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing Agricultural Economics, or related Social Science fields.
At least 4 years work experience in agricultural value chain development, agricultural marketing, local economic development, business development and entrepreneurship interventions/programs.
Experience on increasing off-farm productivity including collaborating with private sector national and international actors to achieve sustainable and scalable solutions for hard-to-reach communities (preferably experience in working with the PSNP program).
Understanding of Markets Systems Development (MSD) approach.
Very good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Fluency in the local language is required.
