1. Finance Supervisor

Place of work:  Dire Dawa, Ethiopia

Job Summary 

The position holder is responsible for the overall financial activities of the branch in coordination of the respective work units within finance organization.  The incumbent is mainly responsible for the collection and analysis of financial information, monitors the creation of monthly reports, managing account payables and receivable activities and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.

Roles and and Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  • Analyse every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans.
  • Review the TB before closing for abnormal balances.
  • Providing & releasing of accruals
  • Prepare recurrent journal for accruals & prepayment.
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, branch operation and design a framework for these to be met.
  • Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
  • Oversee people managements and advice for proper improvement areas.
  • Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
  • Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company.
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
  • Verifying all branches and head office sublet work and local purchase.
  • Ensure for correctness of perpetual and annual inventory count.
  • Ensure there is proper cash collection and deposit at bank every day.
  • Ensure proper supporting documents attached for every payment.
  • Follow up for all government taxes be paid as per the given time.
Skill and education background
  • 1st degree in Accounting or Accounting and Finance or in other fields and 6 years related work experience.
  • Collaborative, ambitious, driven and works with integrity.
  • Knowledge of financial procedures and policies.

2. IT Support Officer I

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Job Summary 

The position holder will be reponsible in supporting all members of the MOENCO HO and branches’ business community and to also perform work in the maintenance, installation, backup, and repair of technology systems including servers, networking, applications, and visualization technologies. IT Support Officer will form an integral part of the overall IT Department of Inchcape Africa.

Roles and and Responsibilities:
  • Installs, configure, and deploy server hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and patches to support and maintain effective network service operations throughout the company.
  • Configures systems for high availability including strategies for back-up and recovery, failover, load balancing, and full redundancy.
  • Provides Activity Directory Management assistance to Inchcape Africa staff in managing user and computer accounts.
  • To provide initial support to users, demonstrating appropriate levels of understanding and professionalism.
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities; provide special reports as requested by various departments.
  • To assess and set the appropriate level of priority on the helpdesk ticketing system, allocating the call to the correct resolver group.
  • In cases where the resolver group is a Third Party, to use appropriate IT helpdesk ticket logging system, updating the Inchcape Call Management software, and communicating progress to the user.
  • To monitor and escalate all calls logged according to agreed service levels.
  • To fully understand the range of applications and services supported by the Service Desk by making use of any appropriate Knowledge Bases, working with colleagues, and identifying areas of concern that could be addresses by training.
  • Communicate technical information, both verbal and written to a wide range of end-user
Skill and education background
  • A minimum of BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information System, or related discipline such as Management Information Systems, etc. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of Two years of experience in IT client and server-side helpdesk support, system administration, installation and configuration of server hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server products, Exchange, office365, VMware and HPE hardware servers.
  • Server backup and recovery.
  • Excellent people management skills, especially the ability to work with a few interlocking teams and staff at all levels within the MOENCO.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, Flexible and results driven.
  • High levels of initiative.
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills.
