2. Import Coordinator (Procurement)

Job Summary:
The import Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and management of import activities within an organization. This includes the development and implementation of import policies and procedures, as well as the management of import documentation and shipments. The import coordinator also works closely with other departments within the organization to ensure that all import activities are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The job holder is required to follow-up the status of the LC, foreign exchange approvals, and liaise with the suppliers for receiving shipment documents on-time while ensuring it is in line with our standard. In addition to this, he/she should give support to the procurement team in the areas of preparing payments to the suppliers, freight rate report, and collecting documents from suppliers.
Skill and educational background
- Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree in Procurement Management, Civil Engineering or related field of study
- 4 years of related work experience (experience at international company is an added advantage)
- Experience in construction company is mandatory
Critical criteria/Skill to be successful in this role:
- Ability to prepare letters in English and Amharic.
- Ability to process Ethiopian single window for trader’s portal proficiently
- Experience in file organizing and management.
- Microsoft application (word, excel, PPT) working skill
- Proficient communication skill
- Time management skill
- Strong planning and organizing ability
- Ability to work under fast paced environment.
