1. ICT Associate For International Organization

Location: Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa

Salary: USD 1440.00

Number Required:1

Duration:One Year Fixed Term, with the possibility of extension

Core Functions /Responsibilities:
1. Provide end-user support and ensure that all ICT Issue tickets and queries are logged and answered appropriately via email, telephone call, and/or in person by taking Issue ticket ownership – open, update, and close assigned tickets, meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLA)

2. Administering and monitoring local services, servers, systems, and networks and providing routine control of servers and data.

3. Maintain and monitor the efficient access and uptime to Local, Corporate, or Cloud Services.

4. Provide support, and/or assume a leadership role when required, for planned technology upgrades. Perform implementation and administration of system, application, and infrastructure components. Including support to ensure readiness for events and supporting the event’s technical activities.

5. Maintain, monitor, and support the effective utilization of communication equipment

(including but not limited to: PABX, videoconferencing equipment, and mobile devices)

6. Provide end-user training both as a technical support person in general and as a trainer for corporate applications and business processes. Provide guidance and training to colleagues as needed.

7. Produce and maintain relevant documentation and reference materials, including (but not limited to): ICT asset and software inventory, infrastructure diagrams, security documentation, and Identity and access management records. Recommend equipment and software replacements in a timely manner following the ICT asset lifecycle standards.

8. Assist in analyzing and correcting performance problems of networks, systems, and applications and recommend solutions to enhance functionality, reliability, and/or usability.

9. Administer and monitor server and workstation supporting systems such as patch management, antivirus, and backup, recommend and take appropriate actions when needed.

10. Participate in ensuring quality and continuous improvement measures following ICT Standards, Guidelines, and Policies.

11. Perform such other related duties as may be assigned.

Skill and educational background

Completed Bachelors University degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with three years of relevant professional experience in Helpdesk / Service Desk roles; or,
Completed high school diploma/certificate from an accredited academic institution,
Microsoft Certification (MCP or above) in Windows Server 2016 and/or Active Directory.
Azure or AWS Associate Certification.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Other industry certifications such as CompTIA, VCP or ITIL are a distinct advantage
Expereince:
Extensive experience in direct user technical support and computer, network, and communication equipment troubleshooting are distinct advantages.
Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Lenovo, Canon, Kyocera, and Cisco Network Devices.
Skills:
Working knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019 software in a multi-site environment, TCP/IP Protocol, AD, DHCP, DNS, WINS, Cisco Router Configuration, Windows 8 & 10 administration MS Office 2013/2016, and MS Office 365.
Correctly applies knowledge of specialized IT disciplines
Language:
Fluency in Amharic and English (oral and written) is required.
Working knowledge of other local languages is an advantage.

2. Senior Project Associate – ESNFI Cluster

Location: Shire, Tigray

Salary: USD 1,713.25

Number Required:1

Duration:Special Short-Term Contract, Six months with the possibility of extension

Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Gather, collate, and analyze data on emergency shelter needs assessments and assist promptly and efficiently, including feedback and/or issues raised by the affected population.

2. Provide regular updates, summaries, mapping, and analysis of the assessed needs and responses of the cluster. Design shelter typologies and prepare bills of quantities for location-specific interventions.

3. Identify and report any shelter & NFI assistance gaps to the national cluster.

4. Implement methods to share this information, as well as broader information on shelter and NFI needs and solutions that the cluster wants to develop and/or share, with all concerned stakeholders and the affected population;

5. Promote attention to vulnerable groups and cross-cutting issues, including establishing context-specific beneficiary targeting criteria, context-specific monitoring tools, and Accountability to Affected Population strategy.

6. Verify Emergency Shelter Cluster partner responses align with existing international, national, and IASC policy guidelines, technical standards, and relevant Government obligations regarding urban zoning, building code compliance, and the environment.

7. Contribute directly to cross-cutting strategies and issues including but not exclusive to Housing Land and Property, cash modality for distribution, gender equity, and protection.

8. In conjunction with the national coordinator, advocate for funding and materials needs for partners to address identified gaps.

9. Contribute to preparing and revising contingency planning and preparedness processes at the regional level.

10. Actively participate and contribute to ICCG meetings at the Regional and zonal level [as they occur]

11. Track performance and humanitarian outcomes using benchmarks, indicators, and data (disaggregated by age and gender) as agreed through Cluster mechanisms.

12. Support the development and implementation of a common strategy within the Emergency Shelter Cluster

Skill and educational background

Diploma with six years of relevant experience; or,
Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience.
Experience:

Experience in project implementation and management experience, including project monitoring and reporting;
Experience in liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities as well as with national and international institutions.
Skills:

Knowledge of Cluster mechanisms, UN coordination systems and Humanitarian Reform process.
Knowledge and experience of shelter-related programs with understanding on natural disaster and conflict-related emergencies and contexts.
Knowledge of different data collection methodologies. Proven skills in analysing statistical information. Ability to formulate IM-related technical requirements and Operating Procedures. Ability to translate planning specifications into technical briefs for data capture and analysis and vice versa.
Languages:

Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
Working knowledge of the local language, Tigrigna, is an advantage.
