1. Emergency WASH Officer

Location: Afar

Under the guidance of field level Integrated Multisectoral Emergency Response Coordinator and HO level Emergency WASH manager the staff will be responsible for the full implementation of emergency WASH intervention in Euwa and Awura Woredas of Afar Region, be responsible for implementation of sanitation and hygiene activities, construction of VIP/communal latrines, target identification and distribution of WASH NFIs, water treatment chemicals, facilitate trainings related to sanitation and hygiene, establishment and training of WASHCos, Post distribution monitoring, reporting etc.. The employee is also expected to closely integrated and collaborate with project engineers, Shelter and Health professionals of the project as well as the stakeholders.

Skill and educational background

4 Years’ experience relevant WASH project/program intervention an international NGO or similar organization. Experience on Emergency WASH Operation is more preferable.
BSc/ MSc Envirmental Health, Public Health, or related fields
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:

Excellent English communication skill, Basic computer skills and report writings

2. UNFP Project Manager

Location: Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa

Job Summary:

To provide an overall leadership, supervision and quality assurance for UNFP funded protection project for Conflict-Affected Vulnerable Communities in Tigray, Afar and Amhara. The manager is further expected to initiate, lead, control and report all project activities. The core purpose is therefore to ensure the implementation of all project activities in accordance with sector design, planned activities and budget ensuring the project’s alignment with WV policies, country and donor contexts, BHA rules & regulations.

Skill and educational background

Required Professional Experience:
Experience: 6-8 yrs/3 yrs in Management level
Program management skill, Participatory M&E, Results-Based management, Logical Framework Analysis, community participation, Participatory Rural Appraisal, Participatory Learning & Action
Experience in UNFPA funded projects is an advantage
NGO experience is preferred.
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:
BA/three years for MA in, Sociology , social work and related areas, program/project development and management
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
Program management skill, Participatory M&E, Results-Based management, community participation, Participatory Rural Appraisal, Participatory Learning & Action
Experience with complex M&E systems is preferred (Excellent experience in budget preparation and report writing)
Fluent in oral and written English.
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement:
Work environment: Based in Tigray with frequent field level trip to operational Woredas and Kebeles
Travel: Frequent domestic travel within the program area and On call 15%

3. Data Entry, Cleaning & Analysis Officer

Location: West Hararge, Harari

Job Summary:

The position holder is to support the technical staff at woreda level/Zonal level in entering the data collected using paper-based data collection forms at each project kebeles in to the computer using excel database (by creating excel data base for each tool).

Holder will enter the data carefully and efficiently into the computer using excel forms developed for this purpose (by ensuring the required quality) and clean the data before handing it to the technical staff that will further clean, review and cross-check the data for its quality before transferring it to Zonal Data Analysis, Learning & Reporting Coordinator and MEL coordinator for further cleaning and review and also provides support to the team in the piloting and rolling out of mobile data collection (MDC) processes planned for this fiscal year. S/he support the M&E officers and the Data analysis, Learning and Reporting Coordinator in further data review, cleaning, analysis, aggregation and compilation.

Skill and educational background

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:
Minimum of University degree in statistics, computer science, economics/agricultural economics, and related fields
Strong team work and partnership management skill
Ability to analyse issues within local and global contexts
Ability to think strategically and programmatically
Ability to work within tight deadlines
Strong basic IT skills
Required Professional Experience:
Three or more proven experience as data entry clerk or data entry experience and experience on data cleaning, review and processing;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (strong computer skills) specially excel spreadsheet (and its quality control mechanisms), MS Office Word, and basic understanding of database or related software for data capturing, cleaning and analysis,
Ability to enter data into a computer quickly, efficiently and accurately and fast typing skills,
Strong attention to detail and ability to think analytically,
Very good knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.), and strong working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware, software and peripheral devices,
Basic understanding of databases, and experience in related areas
Proficient in English and Local Language (Afaan Oromoo) and Amharic
Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory.
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement: 30% field travel
