1: Manager – M-PESA Trade Marketing Support (Internal/External)
Place of work: Addis Ababa
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Support in the achievement of the M-PESA commercial business plan through participation and coordination of support activities in the trade
Develop MPESA Merchant/Agent programs to achieve KPI’s as set in the commercial business plan
Communicate and coordinate Sales Support activities with Regional Sales Manager and Business development executives
Work with the M-PESA business development team to ensure all M-PESA Agents and Merchants are well branded as per branding toolkit
Develop and execute a detailed-on ground activations in collaboration with sales team to drive customer education and product awareness across all regions
Working with Business Development, ensure alignment across the sales team on M-PESA marketing initiatives
Monitor, link, track and report all MPESA marketing activities against the activities of the sales team.
Ensure availability of MPESA PICOS execution materials and merchandise at cluster level
Develop the MPESA annual trade marketing (ATM) plan to support execution of the regional commercial plan
Provide monthly reporting on all MPESA channels trade marketing results& monitor competitor trade marketing activities.
Manage M-PESA budgets set aside for trade marketing
Manage all M-PESA events across the regions
Skill and educational background
Degree in a Business-related field.
Post graduate certification in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage.
Very strong focus on Customer insights and proven ability to combine numbers and analytics to understand, predict and influence customer behavior
Intermediate knowledge of business finance principles is essential.
5 years hands on experience in Sales, Marketing or Trade development
Experience in Sales Distribution, Activations agency will be an added advantage.
Highly results and performance oriented.
Excellent team player.
Developing external partnerships and strategic alliances.
Excellent Negotiation/Influencing and Presentation skills.
