1. Finance Officer

Location: Jijiga, Ethiopia

Job Summary:

Overall responsibility of recording accounting transactions, field office financial management, monitoring of cash inflow and outflow, budget management.

Skill and educational background

  • Degree in Accounting with minimum 2 years’ experience or Diploma in Accounting with minimum 5 years’ experience.
    Operating excel, Word and Access is required. Knowledge of Sun Accounting system and/or other accounting software is helpful.
  • Experience working in remote and hardship areas.
    Ability to work under pressure and stressful situations.
  • Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.

Language Skills: Proficient of Somali and English language

2. Hygiene Promotion/PLA Officer

Location: Aleta Wondo,Sidama

Job Summary:

The hygiene Promotion officer includes but not limited to working on ensuring of the charity: water Community-led WASH Interventions project through Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach , supervising of the implementation of community action plan, strengthen school WASH club, organizing of community mass sensitization campaign, designing and developing of IEC/BCC materials, organizing qualitative and quantitative survey, properly manage the budget allocated for the charity water Community-led WASH Intervention project and properly supervise the Environmental Health Agents.

Skill and educational background

  • BA/Bsc or Diploma in rural development, environmental health/public health or any relevant field with participatory learning and action experience.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience for first degree holders and 5 years relevant experience for diploma holders with community mobilization activities in the field and WASH experience.
  • One years of experience for post plus graduate degree in relevant field
    English is a must and knowledge of local language is advantage.

3. MHNT Team Leader

Location: Hawassa, Sidama

Job Summary:

The MHNT Team leader is a member of the IRC health team and will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the IRCs MHNTs activities in Karat Zuria woredas of Konso Zone. (S)He will primarily coordinate and implement effective medical logistics for the emergency health and nutrition program, from strategic design to implementation of a timely and appropriate medical supplies’ management, in line with organizational and international standards.

Skill and educational background

  • Minimum work experience of 2 years for BSc Degree, 1 year for MPH/MSc Degree holders
    Basic supervisory/managerial skills with strong inter-personal skills.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time.
  • Strong analytic problem-solving skills
    Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.
  • NGO experience in emergency health response project activities is preferable.

  • At least 1 year of clinical experience in directly managing RH, including family planning), antenatal care, delivery, postpartum care, comprehensive abortion care, neonatal care, understanding and familiar with adolescent-friendly Reproductive health care services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as, an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time.
    Strong analytic problem-solving skills
    Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
    Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.
  • Knowledge on culturally sound IEC/SBCC material on RH and HIV/AIDS topic.
  • Experience in organizing and facilitating training.
