Oromia Bank established in accordance with the pertinent laws, regulations and the 1960 Commercial Code of Ethiopia, by the Monetary and Banking Proclamation No. 83/1994 and by the Licensing and Supervision of Banking Proclamation No. 592/2008. Accordingly, on September 18, 2008, Oromia Bank obtained a banking business license. At the time of its establishment, OIB’s authorized capital was Birr 1.5 billion, whereas its subscribed capital was Birr 279.2 million, and its paid-up capital Birr 91.2 million. OIB began operation on October 25, 2008 by opening its first branch at Dembel City Center, named Bole Branch. Now, the Bank’s branches reached more than 300. OB has grown its paid up capital to Birr 3 Billion.

1. Manager-Architectural and Engineering Design Team

Skill and educational background

MSC/BSC degree in Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering/ Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related field of study with 5 years of relevant experience for MSc and/or 7 years of relevant experience for BSc including 2 years of management level experience.

2. Corporate Business Customer

Skill and educational background

MA/MBA/MSc/BA degree in Management/ Economics/Accounting/ Business Administration or related fields of study 6Years of relevant banking experience out of which at least 2years in supervisory position.

3. Branch Manager I

Skill and educationaal background

BA degree in Accounting /Management/Business Administration / Economics or related field of study with 6 years direct banking experience while managerial experience is preferable.

Place of work: Arbamich &Yirgalem Branches under Hawassa District Tepi & Baro Branches under Jimma District, Emam Ahmed IFB Branch, Machara & Boroda Branches under Dire Dawa District, Babicha Branch under Nekemte District, Gobessa & Gololcha Branches under Adama District and Branches under Finfinne City Districts.
