1. Site Engineer
Location: Begi, West Wollega Ethiopia
Job Summary:
Tearfund Ethiopia is looking for a site Engineer for its Multi Sectoral Response to Conflict Affected Returnees project in Begi Woreda of West Wollega zone in Oromia Region. Under the direct supervision of the Protection Coordinator, She/he will be responsible to Monitor the project’s women and girls safe space construction. This will include planning, coordination and supervision of on-site activities. The job holder will ensure all aspects of the construction align with engineering and design specifications, industry standards and construction regulations.
Skill and educational background
Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, construction, building, or related field
Proven two years and above experience on site management.
Provien experience coordination and collaboration with different stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design
Experience as construction site engineer, construction manager or foreman, and related experience.
Proficient in the use of computer aided design (CAD) software
Proven track record for managing personnel and material resources
Other Required Technical Skills:
Strong time management and project management skills
Exemplary critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills
Active listening and verbal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Amharic and Afaan Oromo.
Excellent interpersonal skills including sensitivity to cross cultural communications.

2. Assistant Finance Officer
Location:Based in Harar, East Hararghe, Oromia regional state
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares cash vouchers and corresponding checks for proper disbursements.
Effects petty cash payments, prepares petty cash replenishment and reconcile petty cash balance
Effects payments for duly authorised purchases of material or services
Office management (office equipment recording and storage, supplies purchase and controls usage, filling, etc)
Communications (letters, internet/emails, and reception)
Provide support to the Finance and Admin Officer
Ensure availability and proper use of office supplies
Provide support to head office HR, Logistics and Finance team
Proper documentation of Finance and Administrative files
Performs any other related duties as assigned by line manager
Skill and educational background
Diploma in Accounting, Supply Management, Office Management, Business Administration or related field of study.
Minimum 2 (two) years of relevant professional experience in a similar position
Good understanding of Bookkeeping/accounting records and principles
Good attention to detail skills
Strong organisational skills
Ability to work quickly under pressure
Patience and an ability to remain calm
Reliable, confidential and honest
Good computer skills (Microsoft Office and application of Internet/email and systems)
Strong communication skills with oral and written proficiency in English, Amharic and Afaan Oromo
