Job Description For Soufflet Malt:
The Data Encoder is responsible for efficiently encoding data on the source trace system for alternative sourcing of grain that is purchased on a daily basis. Their main objective is to ensure that the data is accurately entered and ready for timely payments to farmers. This role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
Collecting and Inputting Data::
Collect grain data from the alternative sourcing quality team.
Input the collected data into the source trace system.
Enter data received from the team, whether in the form of scanned documents or soft copies.
Payement Facilitation::
Use the source trace system to facilitate payments to farmers.
Make sure that payment transactions are accurately processed and recorded on the system.
Document Compilation and Archiving.
Compile hard copies of data documents.
Organize and archive the compiled documents for future reference.
Communication and Data Validation:
Communicate with the relevant stakeholders daily to ensure data accuracy.
Validate and verify data to maintain data integrity.
Printing and Distribution:
Print Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) generated on the system.
Make the printed GRNs available to the concerned unit.
Payment Vouchers:
Generate payment vouchers for each farmer’s delivery.
Ensure completion and accuracy of the payment vouchers.
Record Keeping:
Record memos for grain purchases made through direct purchase.
Maintain detailed records of all transactions related to grain purchases.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Perform analysis on grain purchases and prepare weekly reports for management.
Present findings and recommendations based on the analysis conducted.
Tasks Assigned by Supervisor: Complete any additional assignments given by the immediate supervisor.
Skill and educational background
BSc Degree in computer science or IT .
Proficiency in data encoding is advantageous.
Fluent in local languages, Amharic and Affan Oromo, is mandatory.
Strong English language skills are also required.
Ability to work under pressure and travel to the field as required.
