1.Intern – Information Management
Description of Duties
The intern will work under the supervision of the Head of HIST and will be responsible for the following duties:
- Provide support to the Humanitarian Information Support Team (HIST) in data collection, analysis, and visualization!
- Assist in the development and maintenance of information management tools and databases.
- Support the Capacity Building Team in the development and delivery of training materials and workshops.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
- Participate in meetings and workshops with humanitarian partners and government officials.
- Contribute to the overall work of iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia as needed.
skill And Educational Background
- Currently enrolled/recent graduates in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a relevant field such as Computer science, GIS, information management, or related fields
- Demonstrated interest in humanitarian work and information management and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Having Database and GIS software skills is an asset.
- Fluency in English and Amharic
- Has CGPA of 3.0 and above for BSc Degree holder / 3.6 and above for MSc (MA) holder
- At least two recommendation letters from his/her academic advisor/instructor
Requirements
- Available to work full-time for six months, starting in January 2024
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Application Way
The intern will receive training and mentoring from experienced professionals in the humanitarian information management and analysis field.
At the end of the internship, the intern will receive a certificate of completion from iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia and Addis Ababa University.
